NOC attempting to ruin Rowing chances!

The conduct of the National Olympic Committee (NOC) could cost the country a chance of a medal in Rowing at the Asian tournament scheduled to take place in Jakarta, Indonesia on August 17, reports say.

Although the Rowing Association has made a request to make certain changes in the Rowing team composition for the Asian games, the NOC has failed to grant approval for it.

When contacted, the President of the Rowing Association Rohan Fernando said they had made the request to make the changes from among the five nominated rowers.

He further noted that these changes would raise the chances of winning medals.

However, the NOC had rejected this request on the grounds that there is insufficient time to make these changes.

The Rowing Association had made the request in writing to the NOC.

Those who have qualified for the Asian rowing tournament are members of the Sri Lanka Army and Navy.
