Sri Lanka loses first ODI!

Sri Lanka failed to reach the target set by Pakistan who scored 293 runs in their allotted 50 overs, only managing to reach 209 runs losing 8 wickets, losing the first One Day International against Pakistan.

Accordingly, Pakistan recorded an 83-run victory against Sri Lanka.

Having lost the ODI series 5-0 against India, this is Sri Lanka’s 8th consecutive ODI loss.

Pakistan who batted first scored 292 runs.

The brilliant 103 scored by Babar Azam in 128 balls enabled Pakistan to amass a considerable score, putting them on a brilliant footing.

His innings scored in 131 balls included five fours.

Lahiru Thirimanne and (53) and Akila Dhananjaya (50) scored half centuries for Sri Lanka.

Based on yesterday’s win Pakistan leads the five match ODI series 1-0.
