The Sri Lanka 400X4 relay team only managed to come in fourth place at yesterday’s finals.
The 18th Asian Games under the theme ‘Asia’s Strength’ was held in Jakarta, Indonesia.
The finals in the 400X4 relay was held yesterday while Aruna Dharshana, Ajith Pathmakumara, Pasindu Kodikara and Kalinga Kumarage represented the Sri Lankan team.
Sri Lanka recorded a timing of 3:2.74 minutes and came in fourth place.
The Qatar team set a new Asian record in this event and emerged winners with a timing of 3.56 minutes.
India won the Silver and Japan secured Bronze.
