Revising a previous Court order banning Father Elil and others in organising Remembrance Day events in Mullivaikkal, the Mullaitivu Magistrate Court allowed Remembrance Day memorialising within the Church premises yesterday (18 May) and was attended by Leader of the Opposition MP Sampanthan and Northern Province Chief Minister Justice Wigneswaran and other Council Members.   

Father Elil had been informed late yesterday to report at the Vavuniya ASP office for an inquiry, that is said to be an internal police inquiry ordered by IGP. Father Elil was accompanied by a lawyer and few Catholic priests including Fr. Terrence Fernando say reports from Vavuniya.
