Black Tiger memorial held in Jaffna (Pics)

A group named as 'Rehabilitated Democratic Tamil Tigers Organisation' has held a memorial for Miller, LTTE's first Black Tiger (suicide bomber) in Nelliady, Jaffna yesterday (05), security sources say.

The group had hung a banner with photos of deceased Black Tigers and lit oil lamps, reports add.

Vallipuram Vasanthan, known as Miller, had drove a bomb filled vehicle into the heart of the Nelliady military base on July 05, 1987, killing 37 military personnel. The attack was known as the first Black Tiger attack and was later commemorated by the LTTE as the Black Tigers Day.

Akkarayankulam police are investigating to find the persons behind the drawings.
