The CPC is planning to raise the prices of diesel, petrol and kerosene oil after the Sinahala-Tamil New Year, reports say.

Fuel sales are causing losses to the CPC due to the increased prices in the world market and the reduction of the prices in 2015.

The proposal is to increase the price of kerosene oil by around Rs. 40 per litre and the prices of diesel and petrol by between Rs. 3.00 and Rs. 10.00 per litre.

The Lanka IOC raised its fuel prices on February 23.
