President asserts that Ranil will remain PM

Prime minister Ranil Wickremesinghe has said president Maithripala Sirisena had assured him that no change will be made to the Premiership.
 
Speaking to UNP MPs who had gathered at Temple Trees tonight (18) Mr. Wickremesinghe has added the president had further assured that he would allow Mr. Wickremesinghe to continue as Premier.
 
Revealing the above to 'Sri Lanka Mirror', an UNP MP said that Mr. Wickremesinghe had further said that the Speaker had successfully smoothed things over.
 
According to the PM, the president had also been adamant that reforms to the government and the party should take place within three months' time, the MP added.
