Arjun petitions Supreme Court

The Supreme Court today (19) allocated November 15, to take up the Fundamental Rights Petition filed by Perpetual Treasuries (Pvt) Ltd, challenging the decision taken by the Monetary Board of the Central Bank to cancel the license of Perpetual Treasuries over their involvement with the Treasury bond scandal.

Accordingly, Perpetual Treasuries CEO Arjun Aloysius was present in the Supreme Court today.

Perpetual Treasuries asked court to issue an interim order nullifying the decision taken by the Monetary Board of the Central Bank to cancel the license of Perpetual Treasuries, without a fair investigation.

This petition was taken up today before a panel of judges including Chief Justice Priyasad Depp.

The petition cited the Central Bank governor, Central Bank Monetary Board and several other parties as respondents.
