The minister promised his fullest support to unite the SLFP and help the party to defeat the UNP at the future elections.
The media has reported that Premajayantha, along with John Seneviratne, Anura Priyadarshana Yapa, T.B. Ekanayake, Sumedha Jayasena, Dulip Wijesekera, Arundika Fernando, Lakshman Wasantha Perera, Susantha Punchinilame and Nimal Lansa were going to sit in the opposition in parliament.
Some of them met yesterday (07) at the parliamentary complex and decided that this was not time to leave the government.
They seriously considered the court decision earlier in the day against former secretary to the president Lalith Weeratunga and ex-director general of the Telecommunications Regulatory Commission Anusha Pelpita.
