Malinga, Kulasekara to retire from ODIs? Featured

Sri Lankan star bowler Lasith Malinga is planning to retire from one day cricket after reaching the 300-wickets mark, according to reports reaching Sri Lanka Mirror.

He needs six more wickets to reach that milestone, after playing 194 ODI matches.

Malinga is likely to announce his retirement during the five-match ODI series with Zimbabwe that begins today (30).

Reports also say he will be available for T-20 games for some time, as he expects to add 11 more scalps to claim 100 wickets in that format.

He has played 67 T-20 matches.

Kulasekara’s aim

Another senior Nuwan Kulasekara too, is thinking about retiring from ODIs after getting his 200th wicket.

He has so far played 180 games.

Both are most likely to announce their retirements during the Zimbabwe series, reports add.
