The announcement had come today evening (27), reports say.

Quoting a senior official at the ministry, 'Lankadeepa' reports that Director Board members of several state media institutions including the SLRC, SLBC and ANCL have been told to resign and that fresh Director Boards will be appointed soon after.

Earlier today, ITN Chairman - Niroshan Premaratne, who was appointed just several months before, had resigned from his post.
