They have been unofficially told to resign from their positions.
New heads have recently been appointed to the National Child Protection Authority, CEB and Sri Lanka Foundation, with the president’s office saying that successors to the other institutions have already been chosen as well.
The changes include the media ministry and two state media institutions.
Sri Lanka Mirror has reported that the media ministry secretary would be replaced.
New faces are likely to take up top positions in the president’s office and the defence ministry, whose secretary Karunasena Hettiarachchi has already been named as the Sri Lankan ambassador to Germany.
The officers who will be removed from their positions will be stationed at other state institutions, including the president’s office.
