She has said Maithripala Sirisena and Mahinda Rajapaksa destroyed the SLFP.

Noting that she had urged for two years not to join with the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP), Ms. Kumaratunga adds that Mr.. Sirisena had not heeded to this  request and she herself was removed from the party politburo and organiser post because of this.

Now, he is saying what I have been saying for around two years, he adds.

Noting that she had put the country's economy in good shape even during a raging war, Ms. Kumaratunga said one doesn't know whether to laugh or cry when looking at the current plight of the country.
