Saliya Pieris re-elected unopposed as BASL President

President's Counsel Saliya Pieris has been re-elected unopposed as the President of the Bar Association of Sri Lanka (BASL) for the year 2022-2023.
 
He was first elected as the 26th President of the BASL on February 24, 2021 after securing a clear majority over his rival candidate.

Meanwhile, Attorney-at-Law Isuru Balapatabendi was elected uncontested as the Secretary of the BASL for the same year.
