CAA heads asked to pack up their belongings!

It is reported that the Chairman of the Consumer Affairs Authority Major General Shantha Dissanayake will be removed from his post soon.

The government is said to have taken these decisions after a recent investigation into the performance of the institution.

It is reported that they are preparing to remove him on the basis of failing to study the weaknesses of the food distribution networks also operating the main taxi services in Sri Lanka and stopping the outflow of money, weaknesses in the implementation of the rice issue, prevention of irregularities in the import of goods and the failure to properly investigate complaints regarding the gas explosions.
