Murutthettuwe Thero asks the President to probe the Panama Papers too!

Chief incumbent of the Narahenpita Abayaramaya - Ven. Muruththettuwe Ananda Thero has urged President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa to direct the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) to investigate all Sri Lankans revealed by the Panama Papers exposè in 2016.

In a letter, the Thero asks to look into the assets of the 65 Sri Lankans mentioned in the
Panama Papers as well.

The Thero had commended the President's move to direct the CIABOC to hold an investigation into the details revealed of Thiru Nadesan in the Pandora Papers.

Extending the law to all instead of limiting it to one person will portray the equality of law, the Thero adds.
