A statement issued by the BIA states that Duty-Free shopping will be allowed to shop upon arrival only and will not be permitted to utilize their Duty-Free allowance on a subsequent day.

The Bandaranaike International Airport in Katunayake states that fully vaccinated passengers arriving at the airport with an endorsement of Airport Health Office (red seal) on the vaccination certificate, are invited for Duty-Free shopping.
