A/L & Grade 5 Scholarship exams, postponed ^Featured

The G. C. E. Advanced Level & Grade 5 Scholarship examinations which were scheduled for November 2021, will be rescheduled, announced State Minister of Education Reforms, Open Universities, and Distance Learning Promotion - Susil Premajayantha.

Speaking in Parliament today (07), he said that although these exams were to be initially scheduled to be held in November, authorities did not expect the schools to remain closed for a long period due to COVID-19. Therefore, therefore, the exams will have to be re-scheduled, he said.

The new exam dates will be announced later after considering the facts that the syllabus needs to be covered and children need to be given adequate time to prepare for the examinations and it was highly likely for the exams to be held in early 2022.
