The Cabinet of Ministers has approved a proposal presented by the Minister of Development Coordination and Monitoring to attract investments of companies being operated in digital banking, blockchain technology, and cryptocurrency mining sectors.

In a Tweet, minister of Sports and Youth Affairs - Namal Rajapaksa has said, "forward thinking & proper regulatory framework will ensure that #LKA will lead the digital economy in the region."
