The statement has been taken in connection with a statement given by the former DG of the Consumer Affairs Authority - Thushan Jayawardena.

 

Speaking with regard to the infamous garlic scam, Jayawardena had said that he had faced political pressures while investigating the case as well as pressures to resign.
