Speaking in Parliament today (22), Minister of Justice Ali Sabry said approval to appoint the committee was granted at yesterday’s Cabinet meeting.

The Minister said that the incidents at the Welikada and Anuradhapura Prisons should never have taken place, and those incidents should be condemned and it was a disgrace.
