General Manager of the State Pharmaceutical Corporation, Dinusha Dassanayake  stated that the vaccines arrived from Belgium, on Qatar Airlines.

Meanwhile the official Twitter account of the Chinese Embassy tweeted that another 3 million Sinopharm jabs will be supplied by the end of August with 01 million of them scheduled to arrive tomorrow.

“As of 21 Aug, 13.98 million doses #Sinopharm vaccine have been administered, 95% of the total 14.7 mln #SriLanka received. To continue  #VaccinationDrive at this critical juncture, will supply another 3 mln jabs by the end of Aug, with 1 mln scheduled on Tuesday (24th),” the embassy had Tweeted.
