Elephant runs amok during Esala Perahera  Featured

A video of an elephant running amok during the final Esala Perehera of the Dalada Maligawa (Temple of the Tooth Relic) yesterday (22) is being shared widely on social media.

The footage shows participants of the procession, including dancers, fleeing in fear. 

Mahouts were able to bring the elephant under control later. No one was injured from the incident.
