Sri Lanka will operate a total of 77 COVID-19 vaccination centers to administer the second dose of the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine.
The vaccines will be administered from today (Aug.01) - Aug. 06.
If a need arises, the operations of these vaccination centers will be extended, authorities say.
Meanwhile, the vaccination center manned by the Sri Lanka Army will function throughout the day, authorities say.

The vaccination process will commence from tomorrow (01).
The DGHS noted that it is mandatory for all to carry their National Identity Card to prove their identity and the Vaccination Card issued when obtaining the first dose, when visiting any of these centers to obtain the AstraZeneca second dose.
The DGHS has issued a list of locations where the second dose would be administered in the districts of Colombo, Gampaha and Kalutara.
