CID in dilemma over Noyahr absence Featured

The CID is in a dilemma over ‘The Nation’ former editor Keith Noyahr’s continued absence at an identification parade of the suspects in his abduction and assault nine years ago.

Following the incident, Noyahr fled the country and now lives in Australia.

The identification parade had to be put off several times as he had not made an appearance.

In the event the suspects are released, they can file a human right violation case against the CID over their detention.

Sixth suspect remanded

Meanwhile, a sixth suspect, an Army corporal, arrested in connection with the assault has been remanded until March 30.

At the time of his arrest on March 21, he had been serving under the director of Army intelligence.

He had got involved in the Noyarh abduction when he had been serving at the Tripoli Army camp in Maradana in 2008.
