They were arrested after Military Police handed them over to the Norochcholai police station following an investigation by the Sri Lanka Army.

They are to be produced before the Puttalam Magistrate Court today (04).

The victim faced this plight on June 30.

After police had informed of the soldiers' involvement, the Army Commander had called for an investigation and accordingly, the suspects were apprehended by the military police.

Police spokesman SDIG Ajith Rohana says abduction and assault was a result of a personal dispute.
