Moderna, Pfizer approved to replace AstraZeneca 2nd dose

The USA-produced COVID-19 vaccines Moderna and Pfizer have been approved to be administered as the second dose for those who have received the first dose of AstraZeneca.
 
State Minister of Production, Supply, and Regulation of Pharmaceuticals Prof. Channa Jayasumana said that the Health Ministry’s Advisory Committee on Communicable Diseases has granted the relevant approval this evening (28).
 
Accordingly, 26,000 doses of Pfizer and one million doses of Moderna vaccines are to arrive in the country during the first two weeks of July, the state minister has added.
