CID in crisis if Keith Noyahr fails to appear in court! Featured

Former Deputy Editor of The Nation has been informed by the CID yesterday (17) to appear in in the Mount Lavinia court on March 30, over the case of abduction and inhumane torture.

Currently Keith Noyahr is resident in Australia and the CID had notified him through the Sri Lankan Embassy in Australia.

At the next court date suspects will be produced for an identification parade and court had instructed the CID on March 16 to produce Noyahr in court at the next court date.

In 2008, an unknown group had abducted Keith Noyahr and imprisoned and tortured him and later released.

Six military intelligence officers including a Major had been arrested by the CID in connection to this incident and are currently under remand custody.
