Sri Lanka’s COVID 19 cases pass 200,000 mark

The number of COVID-19 patients in Sri Lanka has exceeded the 200,000 mark today after another 2,280 new cases were detected, health officials said.
Sri Lanka recorded 100,000 cases on April 24. However, the second 100,000 cases were reported within the last 43 days.
Accordingly, the total number of cases is at 201,534.
Sri Lanka also is the 78th country to confirm more than 200,000 cases.
