Accordingly, mills owners have agreed to buy a kilo of Nadu at Rs 50, Samba at 52 (after drying ) and a kilo of wet paddy at Rs 40, Minister Bandula Gunawardena said.
The Minister stressed that all sides should respect and maintain this agreement.
He also said that this issue would be presented to the attention of the president, prime minister and the government.
However, the minister pointed out that he will not allow to increase the price of rice for the next three years.
