This was after a female journalist at the SLBC newsroom had been tested positive for Covid-19.
It is said that there are around 20 persons attached to the SLBC news division and although health authorities have instructed to assign them as groups for shifts, these measures had not been implemented at the SLBC.
The infected journalist had last come to work on Jan. 28 and she had been suffering from a fever back then.
She had worked in the studio where State minister - Arundika Fernando had attended for the 'Subarathi' programme before it was discovered he had contracted Covid-19.
Despite this, the studios had not been disinfected so far, reports add.
By now it is said that the journalist's husband is suffering from fever as well.
