4 policemen at Dalada Maligawa test Covid-19 positive ; 200 quarantined Featured

Four police officers deployed at the police station within the Temple of the Tooth (Dalada Maligawa) premises, have been infected by Covid-19.

Speaking to media, officer in charge of Kandy, SSP Sudath Masinghe said that steps have been taken to quarantine all the remaining 200 officers of the police station.

Senior police officials of Kandy said around 180 new police officers have now been deployed to cover duties of the police officers placed in quarantine.
