551 new COVID-19 cases detected today

Another 551 new COVID-19 cases have been detected today in the country, raising the number of confirmed infections to 39,782.

Among the new cases 541 have been identified as contacts of the Minuwangoda-Peliyagoda COVID-19 cluster.

10 cases have also been identified from prisons across the country.
