Political ideology is the failure, not 'Sir' - Mangala (Video)

Although many say 'Sir Fail' by depicting President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa as a failure after a year in power, the true failure is not him but the political ideology that represents him and swept him to power, former Minister Mangala Samaraweera says.

Speaking at the 'Matara Hamuwa' event held in Matara today (20), he said, “The majority of the people in the country wanted to form a solely Sinhala-Buddhist government. And they ensured a highest victory for that. But the failure of that ideological vision has been clearly proven during a period of a year."

The meeting was organized by former Mayor of Matara and UNP organiser of the Matara electorate - Upul Nishantha.

Speaking further, Mr. Samaraweera said that this country needs the United National Party which is now rebuilding from scratch.
