Social media creating anti-vaccine trend Featured

As the whole world waits for the new vaccines to cure Covid-19 virus, more than 4.8 million people are stirring up social media against the use of vaccines.According to a recent survey report, the activities against the use of new vaccines is rapidly increasing.

As of last October, more than 31 million people had joined the protest through Facebook alone and more than 17 million people have joined  through YouTube.

The World Health Organization (WHO) has also warned of an infodemic which has emerged from social media.

They are adding false and misleading information on the vaccines along with alternative treatments that can be used to cure Covid-19 virus into this anti-vaccine network, reports say.

Since this vaccine is not the ultimate cure and no definite data on its success have been confirmed so far, these groups have been able to create a great stir on social media.

Social media companies are also reported to be making a fortune from posting ads on these popular pages and channels. For example, Facebook alone earned $ 70.7 billion at the end of last year.

However, Facebook has donated most of this revenue to its anti-Covid campaign.
