The 43-year old Covid-19 patient, is a resident of the Grandpass area.
He had been receiving treatment for tuberculosis and had also tested positive for Covid-19. Initial investigations revealed the residential address provided by the patient to the hospital, which was in Maradana, was false.
The Mahabage Police launched a special investigation together with other Police Stations to locate the individual, who is also addicted to narcotics.
Runaway Covid-19 patient found (update)
The Covid-19 patient, who escaped from the National Hospital for Respiratory Diseases in Welisara, has been apprehended in Maradana.
