Commissioner of Prisons Administration/Rehabilitation and Skill Development Chandana Ekanayake has said that the number reached 3,087 after 122 more inmates were detected with the virus today.

Out of the infected inmates, 2,414 are male while 189 are female.  In addition 103 prison officials too had contracted the virus.
