Govt. to cremate unclaimed bodies of Covid-19 fatalities Featured

President Gotabaya Rajapaksa has urged to immediately cremate several unclaimed bodies of Covid-19 fatalities that have remained at hospital morgues.

The bodies are to be cremated as per health regulations, with costs covered by the Centre for Disaster Management.

In a media release, DG of the Centre for Disaster Management - Maj. Gen. (Retd.) Sudantha Ranasinghe says that the President had instructed thus after he was informed of such bodies which were unclaimed by families of the deceased.
