496 Covid-19 cases today (Update)

A total of 496 cases of Covid-19 have been found today (Nov. 29).

All of them are contacts of the Peliyagoda cluster.

Accordingly, the Divulapitiya - Peliyagoda cluster has grown to 19,946.

According to the situation report of the Epidemiology Unit issued at 09.30pm today (Nov. 29), the total number of infections have increased to 23,484.

It adds that there are 6,366 patients under medical care, 17,002 recoveries and 116 fatalities at the moment.

Covid-19 cases pass 23,000 mark

323 fresh cases of Covid-19 have been found today (Nov. 29), passing the 23,000 mark.

All these new cases found today are contacts of the Peliyagoda cluster.

Accordingly, the Divulapitiya - Peliyagoda cluster has grown to 19,773.

According to the situation report of the Epidemiology Unit issued at 16.15pm today (Nov. 29), the total number of infections have increased to 23,311.

It adds that there are 6,200 patients under medical care, 17,002 recoveries and 109 fatalities at the moment.

1091 cases in prisons

The number of Covid-19 infections at Sri Lanka’s prisons rose to 1,091 after 183 cases were detected on Sunday.

All new cases were inmates of the Mahara Prison.
