Another Brandix employee tests positive in Jaffna
A person who is being treated at the Jaffna Base hospital has tested positive for Covid-19 and is being transferred to the IDH, Army Commander - Lieutenant General Shavendra Silva says.
The patient is an employee of the Brandix factory in Minuwangoda.
Earlier in the evening, three employees from the factory - two from Kurunegala and one from Monaragala, were transferred to IDH after being tested positive.

3 more Brandix employees test positive for Covid-19
Two more female workers from Brandix apparel factory in Minuwangoda have been tested positive for Covid-19 at the Kurunegala Hospital.
Army Commander Lieutenant General Shavendra Silva states that they are being transferred to IDH after being tested positive.
In addition, the Ministry of Health notes that another employee from the factory has been tested positive for Covid-19 at Monaragala hospital and being transferred to IDH.
According to the situation report of the Epidemiology Unit issued at 5.30pm today (Oct. 05), the total number of cases discovered in Sri Lanka so far has increased to 3,474, with 72 cases discovered today so far.
The report adds there are 202 patients under medical care, 3259 recoveries and 13 fatalities at the present.
