SLBC DG responds to sexual bribery allegations Featured

The Director General of the Sri Lanka Broadcasting Corporation (SLBC) - Chandrapala Liyanage says that he completely rejects the report citing that he had sought a sexual bribe from a lady official of the SLBC.

He has responded to a news article published on our website under the title "SLBC අධ්‍යක්ෂ ජනරාල් චන්ද්‍රපාල ලියනගේට ලිංගික අල්ලස් චෝදනාවක්!" together with the english translation - "SLBC DG faces sexual bribery charges!."

The article has cited a written complaint directed to president Gotabaya Rajapaksa, levelling the above allegation against the SLBC DG.

The response and the annexes therein are published on the request of the SLBC DG and 'SriLankaMirror' will not be held responsible or liable in any way if its contents cause any harm or damage to anyone.

Editor's note :

We fully reject the fact mentioned in the letter which cites that our article contains false, baseless and malicious material.

We wish to point out that it is not us who had levelled these allegations but a top administrative official of the SLBC itself.

In our article, we have mentioned that the official had directed the letter containing the allegations to president Gotabaya Rajapaksa through his private secretary and have attached a copy of the letter as proof.

Also, details we have received with regard to the Ekala Transmitting Station is completely contradictory to the details mentioned in the DG's response and we would be disclosing relevant details soon.
