The warrants were issued when the case was taken up before Colombo Additional Magistrate Priyantha Liyanage today.
CID officers informed court that although it was learnt that the Gampaha Magistrate court had ordered remand the two suspects with regard to a separate theft case, the report cannot be verified.
Considering the fact that no lawyer had appeared on behalf of the suspects, the magistrate issued the warrants.
Appearing on behalf of the Attorney General, Deputy Solicitor General - Dileepa Peiris said that investigations on this regard have now been completed.
The 3rd and 4th suspects of the case, - former minister Dr. Rajitha Senaratne and Mohommad Rumy appeared before court.
The case will be taken up again on September 25.
