Thondaman's daughter breaks quarantine rules ? Featured

It is reported that the eldest daughter of the late leader of Ceylon Workers' Congress Minister Arumugam Thondaman has lost the opportunity to pay her last respects to her father.

Kodai Nachchiar Thondaman, a doctor, has been unable to attend her father's funeral as she works in Muscat, Oman.

She was staying in Muscat when her father passed away.

Even though she had wanted to come to Sri Lanka to attend the funeral, she has been unable to do so due to quarantine rules

However, Thondaman's daughter has done a PCR test and has arrived in Calicut, India in a plane.She was brought to Katunayaka by an airplane hired by relatives of the family.

However, according to the existing quarantine rules, she had to be quarantined for 14 days and she has been taken to a hotel in Negombo.

Relatives of the family have requested permission for her to attend the funeral of her father, but Thondaman's daughter had not been granted permission to this moment of writing the article.

It is reported that the authorities have suggested that she may be able to watch her father's funeral through Zoom technology.

Thondaman's son Jeevan Thondaman is already facing social backlash for his conduct while taking his father's remains home to the Wawanden estate in Ramboda, along the Kandy-Gampola main road.
