101 quarantined people released Featured

According to the Chilaw Medical Officer's Office, 101 people who had arrived from Italy and other countries have been reintegrated into society after being self-quarantined.

An investigation carried out by the Public Health Inspectors has revealed that there were 178 persons, who have arrived from foreign countries recently, living in the Chilaw Medical Officer of Health (MOH) Division.

Accordingly, Public Health Inspectors have taken measures to ensure that they remain under self- quarantine for a period of 14 days and after the procedure has been completed they have been reintegrated into society.

Public Health Inspectors say that the rest of the group will be reintegrated into society in the coming days.

Public Health Inspectors have advised people to be vigilant, as they may become infected with the COVID-19 virus even if they were under self-quarantine.
