Chinese female with Coronavirus completely cured, none of the others admitted to IDH infected Featured

The Chinese female who tested positive for the Coronavirus and was admitted to the Infectious Diseases Hospital (IDH) has made a complete recovery, said the Infectious Diseases Hospital (IDH) Consultant Dr. Ananda Wickrama.

It is also reported that none of the other patients admitted to the ADH had tested positive for the Coronavirus.

The 43-year-old Chinese female tourist had arrived in Sri Lanka from the Hubei Province in China and was admitted to the IDH in Angoda with high fever on the 25th.

10 samples tested  

The Director of the Medical Research Institute in Borella Dr. Jayaruwan Bandara said that around ten (10) blood samples which were sent to the MRI for testing by the IDH had been examined and the reports had been issued.

488 students return home from China  

Meanwhile, during the past four days around 488 Sri Lankan students studying in China had returned to the country.

Around 25 students who were studying in Guangzhou, China arrived in the island early this morning.

Meanwhile, a special training programme was held at the BIA premises yesterday (29) for the airport staff regarding the Coronavirus and how to handle such situations.
