CPC warns Sri Lankan over $207 million debt

The Ceylon Petroleum Corporation has warned Sri Lankan Airlines that they would only be able to supply them fuel for another two months.

The reason being that they have exceeded the credit limit accorded to them.

According to a CPC senior official, the credit limit accorded by the CPC to Sri Lankan is around $ 207 million and that the CPC had already supplied them fuel to almost that limit.

 CEB owes CPC 80 billion

The CEB is in debt to the tune of Rs. 80 billion to the CPC for fuel obtained for power generation.

Therefore, the CPC has issued warning to the CEB that if at least part of the payment is not settled, they would suspend the fuel supply to the CEB.
