Karannagoda to appear before CID on 13th March

The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) recorded an eight-hour long statement from former Navy Commander Admiral Wasantha Karannagoda today (11 March).

Admiral Karannagoda arrived at the CID this morning to give a statement over the abduction and killing of 11 youths in 2008-2009.

The Supreme Court earlier ordered the CID to record the statement from Admiral Karannagoda. The SC also issued an order preventing his arrest.

He has been instructed to appear before the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) again on 13th March 2019.
