Aloysius permitted to travel overseas

The Chairman of Perpetual Treasuries Limited (PTL) Geoffrey Aloysius was granted permission by the Colombo Fort Magistrate Lanka Jayaratne today (05) to travel overseas for medical treatment for one week.

A motion was submitted by his attorneys on January 31, seeking permission for him to travel to Singapore and India for medical treatment for two months.

Accordingly, the Magistrate granted him permission to travel to India for a week from February 13 to 20.

The CID objected to the request by Aloysius’s attorneys seeking permission to travel to Singapore, as Geoffrey Aloysius has failed to submit any documents supporting his claims of wanting to receive medical treatment in Singapore.

Therefore, the Chief Magistrate ordered Aloysius to submit the relevant documents, proving the need to travel to Singapore for medical treatment.
