Minister’s brother behind milk powder racket? Featured

The National Movement for Consumer Rights wants the government to hold a special investigation into a stock of milk powder that is unfit for consumption.

A company had purchased 200 tons from Milco issued as animal feed.

However, 15 tons were unaccounted for.

The Consumer Affairs Authority raided and found the stock as it was being packed for sale.

Head of the Movement Ranjith Vithanage says they have information that a brother of a government minister was behind this racket.

The Movement alleges that certain officials of Milco had aided it.
