Interim injunction order against MR to continue (Update)

Supreme Court grants leave to proceed former President Mahinda Rajapaksa appeal against Court of Appeal's interim injunction order suspending him from functioning as Prime Minister. 
Supreme Court also refused to vacate the interim injunction issued by the Court of Appeal, further restraining Mahinda Rajapaksa and other 48 members from acting in their capacities as PM and ministers, until the cases are fully heard and concluded.
The appeal filed by Mr. Rajapaksa is to be taken up for hearing on the 16th, 17th and 18th of January. 
Written submissions of all parties to be submitted within three weeks. 

Meanwhile, Mr. Rajapaksa is currently at the Presidential Secretariat to attend a meeting between the president and MPs of the SLFP and SLPP.
